I agree I have a male Hermann tortoise who lives by himself and when I call him or he sees me he comes running over That’s just what they do. The are solitary creatures and do well by themselves. They need room to roam. This is his enclosure I live in Florida and he lives outside all year
My little Herman tortoise Tiny is a hoot. When I call him he comes out of his hide and comes right to me. He will follow me around like a little puppy. Sooooo cute. This is his enclosure.
Wow thanks for replying - this is Tinys tortoise house. First pic is the hide area and the other two are the main living room lol! The lighting is the mercury vapor lamp on during the day and the ceramic heater for night. Just moved them around so I could take the pics.
