The sound is what is doing it? Is it like a hiss to them or just a scraping sound like claws on floor? I was so amazed to see this behavior. Thank you for getting back with me.
Everytime I sweep the floor my eastern box turtle comes running chasing the broom. Any ideas what that is about? Anybody else having that happen? Since he is housebroke, he has free range.
I agree with your advice. Good coconut will do alot for the shell. The last picture looks ok 1st does look like humans painting or white washing him. Maybe even bleach. No matter what, 2nd picture appears to show a very dried out shell. Hopefully he is eating and seeing good.
