Logic would say no but since clay is a natural compound and normally found out doors, has anyone considered using kitty litter for substrate? I'm needing an absorbant, odor reducing, cost-effective substrate for a large enclosure...it is not toxic and for larger African...

Thanks Scott. I've noticed he seeks the Mazuir tortoise chow with the calcium before finishing off the others. I've switched the order of where the calcium is and routinely he goes for the chow w/ first. Interesting.
