I just noticed Lulu has a lump on the side of his jowl. It wasn't there yesterday. I felt it and it feels like loose skin. He didn't react in pain and hasn't changed his habits.
We do have an unfortunate fly problem, could a horse fly have bitten him? Is it normal growth?
Any help would be...
So Lulu flipped herself earlier today. She was completely upside-down. I waited a couple minutes as she did her weird arm swipe jerking movement. (She swings her arm and head violently, turning herself sideways.) She didn't turn herself back over after a couple minutes so I turned her back over...
When I put her outside, I put her in a dog crate. She sticks her head through the bars. . . Maybe she accidentally got pinched that way.
Whatever it is, she doesn't care. She let me rub it and she didn't flinch so I'm assuming it doesn't hurt.
It's not a tick. It hasn't gotten any bigger or changed shape. I tried to wash ot off but ot wony come off. Not sure what to do. It doesn't seem to bother her. Maybe I should leave it alone unless ot starts to bug her or change.
I don't see any legs, but Lulu is pretty shy about me petting her neck. She only lets me pet her head and chin. Not sure how to go about getting at the spot.
So I let my young sulcata oit in the yard today. She weighs about 6 pounds and is around six inches long. Well she ate what I guess to be 2 dozen dandelion flowers before I caught on to what she was doing. I know that in general they are okay, but she did eat a lot of them and only the flowers...
So the aapens have released their seed fluff. Looks like cotton raining down. Can I pit my young sulcata outside with this? What will happen if she eats it?
They took a urine sample and did a culture. . . but they collected the urine sample off the table he peed on. . . should I have them do another one? And what about that white spot on his x-ray?
He doesn't actually have all that many symptoms. He simply refuses to eat anything but romaine lettuce. The took an x-ray of him and said he has severe bone deficiency. The white spot on the x-ray is a kidney stone.
So my Russian tortoise Tank has an infection. The vet says the bacteria can cause kidney failure in tortoises. They want to put him on a broad antibiotic. It's in a powder I sprinkle over his food. Should I give him the antibiotic or hold off and try other things? They did an x-ray and he may...
So my male Russian tortoise, Tank is sick. The vet took an x-ray and said he has bone deficiency and is anorexic. Tank wont eat anything other than Romaine lettuce. They took a sample of his urine and found some blood in it. They are going to do a culture to see if he has a UTI.
The vet...
I plan to build a bigger house in the shed I have, but I need to connect electricity to it and make it so it holds heat better. Itll be ready next summer, so untill then shes in a 3' by 5' habitat.
So I have a young sulcata, she's about six inches long. She definitely needs more space, but I can't take up and more floor space. Can I build up? Like a second story with a ramp and railings? Is that safe? Not sure what to do. She can't go outside in the below freezing weather. Help?
