    Plastron scuffing..?

Recently Nozzy has been enjoying the back garden, the weather is nice and so he's been taking full advantage of that! We have grass, flowerbeds and a concrete patio, standard garden I guess. He will spend most of his time in the grass but recently I've noticed him exploring the patio more. I've...

    Hi from the UK!

Oh no! I had no idea, everywhere I've read seemed to point to the sand and substrate. Oops! :( I've always mixed in more soil than sand, so a 60/40 or 70/30 ratio more than 50/50. I have read about the humidity and pyramiding so that's quite interesting! I started to spray the substrate ever so many days to stop...

Hello! I've often stumbled upon this place whilst googling tortoise related things and so I thought I'd actually make an effort to join instead of hovering around! :) I live in the UK, the North East to be precise, and I have a roughly 2 year old Horsfield tortoise called Nozzy. We were told...

    tortoise newbie. Help needed!

Hello! I have a 2 year old Horsefield and they're brilliant little things! The one thing I would say is find a good vet, and make sure they deal with reptiles. Even if you tortoise is fine and healthy it's best to find one for a check up, and so you know if there is ever a problem you're not...
