I personally have searched high and low on the internet. Most the info in my area is out of date(Vets have moved). We have also called vets for recommendations in our area.
I would love to have a star tort and also build an aquatic enclosure but I refuse until I am 100% confident in a vet...
My advice would be to look into a vet. Not because I think your tortoise will be sick. But my wife and I have had a extremely hard time finding a vet we like. We have seen 4 and still are not really confident in any of them. It definetly has been the hardest thing for us.

My leopard is still pretty small. So maybe the plants will grow at a similar rate and we won't have to fence them in.

So I started on my outdoor enclosure. I am using railroad ties for the border. Our leopard has this habit though. He always walks to the edge. Whether it is a barrier or a wall. He walks up to it an always takes a bite at it. Doesn't matter what it is. Rock, Brick, drywall, plastic, etc...
