    What's normal behavior?

My Hermanns Zoe comes out of her hide everyday at 7:00 AM to bask and then eat. She goes in and out several times a day and finally retires for the night by 6:00 PM. She is older, about 8 months old. Paula

    Zoe is on the go!

I've been watching her today and she has been up on the top of her hide about 10 times, after a hearty breakfast of course. The hide log is in a corner and she will climb to the top, turn around, go back down and do it all over again. What a delightful creature! Paula

    Herman's...what to eat??

Don't know about the cabbage...Romaine lettuce is ok as well as other leafy greens. Someone should know a good list of edible greens. I don't remember where I saw it. Paula

bad UVB light possible cause of Freddy's Issues! Thanks Tortania!!!

Sorry to hear this. I think he was ill from the beginning and this was just a natural progression of his illness. He was probably not properly taken care of and maybe past saving when you got him.....:o(. Happened to me two years ago with a redfoot. Paula

    Herman's...what to eat??

Iceberg lettuce is a NO NO. Romaine is OK occasionally. Dandelion leaves are great as are other weeds. Fruit is not necessary and could be harmful. Mine loves "spring mix" from the grocery store but as more weeds begin to grow I will feed those also. I dust a phosphorus free calcium powder...

Is "spring mix" bad for torts?

I have a question about a good diet for a Western Herman's juvenile. I recently ordered a small batch of reptigreens salad. I can see that it is mostly weeds and flowers. I chopped some up fine and my Zoe sniffed and picked through it until she found what she liked. She never touched a flower...
