Hi everyone, This is phoebe my 1year 2 month old Hermann tortoise who I believe is a girl but I'm now wondering if she may be a boy and if anyone could tell? Also wondering if her shell/eyes/face look healthy as I'm pretty new at this and want her to be a healthy happy baby :) Thanks x

To sum that one up - one of the things I hate most about this world is that animals are thought to be worth a lot less than us because they aren't part of our 'amazing species'. Really animals are fantastic and a world without them, to me, would truly be nothing. Anyone agree?

And when I say they can't speak to us I mean in a way that is easy to understand ie English or any language - that's the beauty of pet keeping, learning to understand what your pet is saying to you in their own way and i didnt mean to ignore that x

Hi again, So after recent advise on a previous thread I have changed my phoebes bedding from a mixture of top soil and sand to coco coir and I am SO GLAD I think this is one of the best things I've done for my little tortoise and would definitely recommend! She's a Hermann tortoise by the way...
