So, I'm a little frustrated...I have had Pogo my one year old Hermanns for a year now. He is beginning to pyramid a little. I have worked very hard to keep his enclosures at the correct humidity level all year. I keep his indoor enclosure between 60% and 70%. I spray him throughout the day...

Happy Birthday Pogo! Pogo just turned a year old and look what he got....a new outdoor enclosure! I'm so excited! He loves it! It's 4ft x 4ft so it won't work forever but it's great for now! He is so happy walking all around checking everything out. :)

You may also want to look around his enclosure and see why he is turning over so often. My little guy was trying to climb on top of his hide and turning over daily. I put more substrate around the sides to make the slope not so steep. That seems to have worked. Anyway, there may be a few...

My little guy did not use his at first either. I just took him a couple of times a day and placed him in it, then let him climb a out on his own. After a week or so he started going to it on his own. I'm not sure it really made a difference, but it seemed like it did. Pogo has a hard time...

I would keep the name! When you told everyone about him and his name the other day, I thought it was cute. It's much better than "Pogo" which is what my kids named mine!

So cute! I got my hatchling about the same time you got your first one. It was so sad to read about him becoming sick and eventually dying. I'm so happy you got this new little guy! I'm sure you are excited. Looks like he is beautiful and healthy!

I can move the light a little closer to get the temp up closer to 100. I have a temp gun. It makes things a lot easier!!! I will start spraying him a couple of times a day too! Thanks for the advice! :)

Tom, do you think a "Zoo Med PowerSun UV Mercury Vapor Lamp 100 Watts" is ok? It keeps his basking area about 94-96? The rest of the warm side stays in the upper 80s low 90s. The cool side is usually around 75.
