It appears as if she has climbed onto the roof of her cool shelter and fallen onto her back.
There are plenty of things she can use to right herself so when it happens I try and leave her to work it out on her own.

I've heard it's safe to use children's play sand mixed with topsoil as a substrate for Hermanns tortoises. Is this true?
It would be a much cheaper alternative to desert sand but I don't want to put the tortoises at risk.
