Thanks for the advice folks. I'll try all these things. Up until 5 days ago he was really settled. Today he's still climbing the walls... :( Can anyone post some pics of their indoor enclosures for some inspiration :)

Thanks for the advice. His outside house is much bigger but the weather in Scotland isn't on our side for him to spend a lot of time in it. I'll look into a bigger table. :)

Aww I love a wee tortoise story. Ziggy went through a phase of sticking his head in the corner with his butt sticking up. He'd sit like that for hours. Luckily he grew out of it and we get to see his lovely wee face rather than his butt :)

I need fake plants as the real ones attracted gnats/teeny black flies. I could have a wee look for some tall fake ones like the spider plant in the corner. Good idea!

Any suggestions of safe things to put in the keep him occupied. I had to turn the plant pot upside down because I found him upside down next to it the other day. I'm in a similar predicament. I have a 3 year old hermanns (ziggy), had him for 4 months. The last month he's been sleeping lots. He gets up about 10am, eats well, basks for 10-20 mins then goes back to bed. I get him/her up at 5 when I'm back from work for a soak and he'll eat again, bask...
