Do you know any place to get a new tank. And yes, I got him at a store they said he was only a couple months old. [hr] Also my moms friend has a Russian tort and said they got a 20 gallon tank and when he got older they got a 40 gallon tank. Plus the lady at the petsmart said 20 gallon was ok.

I have a Russian desert tortoise and whenever the power goes out I just put a towel over three quarters of the tank so the heat stays in. But if its a long lasting power outage I would use a generater to power the heat lamps.

I have a Russian desert tortoise and if I just give him a handful of Iceburg lettuce he stretches his neck out happily.

I got a tortoise a couple months ago in June, and when he doesn't have enough space to roam around he gets really agitated. If you were to get him early I say have the tank and enclosure set up before Christmas. I just don't see the point of doing that if the tortoise is just gonna get stressed...

I have a Russian desert tortoise named Boriis and when I come in he is usually basking or eating. I have a ten gallon tank for him but when I had just got him he would bang against the side of the tank. Now a couple months later he is doing it again and I'm worried. Any advice?
