Good morning and welcome! You'll have a great time learning things here! I'm currently in the process of moving back to Florida; Saturday is the big day to load everyone up and head down from Atlanta to Orlando.
Hi there! My torts have different activity levels as well. I would say it's normal, but as you get to know them, you'll also learn what their usual behavior is.
In order to confirm their ID and genders, you'll need to post some pictures for the members to see. Also, if you just continue...
Definitely look for volunteer opportunities that would add to your experience and your resume. Any zoo, aquarium, or nature center might have good opportunities. Once you're accepted or in class taking your pre requisites you could look for internships.
I've emailed back and forth with them a few times, and wouldn't recommend that anyone try to do business with them. They were pretty rude in their messages and aren't willing to budge at all on their price.
I sent them an email through Craigslist to see what they're asking too. $1000 seems a bit high with all that pyramiding and overgrown beak :( Hopefully someone can help out!
I saw this ad on Craigslist and thought I'd repost it here in case anyone is interested in this guy!

That's what I was thinking too, maybe someone else will chime in that knows for sure. I got another picture of the tail, and I'm guessing it's a male but hopefully someone will be able to tell me for sure!
This morning I was approached my someone asking me to take in their tort that they can no longer care for. Before I give them an answer I was hoping to get a confirmation of the torts ID and gender.
I'd like to help them out, because they told me they have a "testudo tortoise" and are keeping...
I think you can put a tiny piece of regular Scotch tape over the cracked part, but I'm not sure about that! Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will chime in soon :)
