Dying of cute overload

I finally tried cypress mulchm. And i agree barks and others seem to stabby. But I swore by the critter country and so does a reptile guy i know who has been doing this for 30 plus years. People hear said it is too drying and doesnt have enough moisture. Anybody have a good definative answer?

How freaking cute. My hubby and I were just talking we want to do a baby tort cam. Have 2 sulcatas who are trouble makers and just adorable....love this idea. How did you get it online?

Wow barista that is ridiculous. Definately complain to petsmart corporate. I did for the sheer fact of helping other pets. This whole thing could have been a disaster if I wasnt home so now I am paranoid and want to help anybody else by letting you all know. I wish petsmarts would take these...

Yea take them back asap and get a different brand and please please spread the word . I am only one person, all of you can help me save our pets. :)

Re: Another Dog Story (Why tortoises & dogs DO NOT MIX. No exceptions!) This makes me sick to my stomach reading. One big reason I will never own a dog. My torts are way too important. Many people need to know dogs n tortoises and turtles do not mix, dogs more or less see them as chew toys...

I will have to measure each set up and post. What do u recommend for a beardie? I have a coil uvb currently. Tank has hood on it so the distance between him and light is maybe only 16inches high. ( and no I am not a newbie here I am just looking for advice because I have read so much lately...

Fellow tort lovers and keepers....I have been reading up on uvb bulbs and just would like a solid answer on what is safest and best to use for russian tortoises, sulcatas and box turtles. I read here exo terra 10.0 is bad and now I am worried because of seeing some of you post the eye issues...

Update..the local petsmart called me after having my info forwarded to them. They gave me new bulbs and fixture and put a call into more research on the 100 watt bulbs from their line. Hopefully they will resolve this so nobody else has issues.

I had him soaking when he passed it and i dont know if he strained. Never had a stool sample done because it was never an issue. I have been soaking him so he will open his eyes.

He isnt doing anything. Wont open eyes or eat. I have to bite the bullet and take him to a vet....he pooped while soaking and there is a small amount of blood. I dont want him to die. And it is different bedding that promotes humidity [hr] And he is solo, always has been

I have a russian male who I took in from a coworker about 3 years ago. Last year around fall he got inactive and would not open his eyes etc. We figured he was hibernating. We took him to a vet who said all was ok maybe a bit of dehydration so soak him and use eye drops. Well he wound up ok...
