I know its small, but I thought I would be able to use it for at least a little while?
I will be building different ones as he grows.
Or are you talking about Floyd himself?
I got Floyd today! I added more pictures to the same link: http://s982.photobucket.com/albums/ae303...rt%20home/
It seems to work great for him as a hatchling enclosure, and the ramp actually turned out to be just fine. If you notice anything I need to change, let me know. Otherwise thanks so...
New tortoise pics!!

Our tortoise arrived!! Me and my boyfriend are very very excited! We are trying to let him settle in before bugging him too much, but we had to take a few pictures!!! (Some of them are just of the enclosure by the way..)...
thanks everyone for you input! as of right now i bought some organic top soil and playsand. i might add something else later but this is wut i am going to start with.
I was thinking the ramp my be too steep! Fortunately it shouldn't be too hard of a fix. I think I am going to go to the store to look for a suitable rubbermaid today just in case. I will try him in this house first, but its not a big deal if it doesn't work for him...I mean it would be nice, but...
I was looking for a heat source and a light. I did not know if any of the ones on that site would work, so I just ordered a mercury vapor one on a pet store online. thanks for responding!
here is an update on my enclosure..
I still have a few more things to do but its getting there. Right now my silk flowers are attached to the floor with duct tape..is that going to be alright? or is there a better way?

I am slowly getting prepared for my new baby eastern hermann to come. I already built a tortoise table for him, what substrate would you recommend for a hatchling?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
