This week's hatchlings.

A little different than my Egyptian tortoise hatchlings.

This is what I found in the incubator when I came home from work yesterday. He's still in the egg today taking his time.

Don't remember any nesting activity this early before but these Egyptian eggs were laid this morning. My last baby to hatch from last seasons batch was only 2 weeks ago.

At what size do most radiateds become less shy? Where you can pick them up and they don't retreat into their carapace and don't run away as soon as you put them down? I've been told the older ones get quite tame and some even follow you around the yard.

The larger ones are from 2012 and the smaller are 2013 babies.
