    Carrots,strawberries, grapes,cucumbers, squash,pumpkin, turnip greens,tomatoes,and blueberries are all fine for a tortoise... just should not be given to very often, ( no citrus)and I didn't say anything about a tomato being a vegetable or a fruit.

    If your growing indoor I would recommend a uvb bulb or right near a window for something to grow right... you might be able to pull off strawberries ,grapes,figs , some rooted veggies , I would recommend to grow in the summer and grow strawberries,blueberries,turnip, tomatoes (not in tortoise...

    Where to Get a Tortoise Online

    I have heard that backwaterreptiles is not a very good source. But I know that turtlesource (sells turtles & tortoises ) is a very Well educated and good place to receive tortoises from. I have had good experience with lllreptiles also.

    Well when I didn't know I asked the same question, but then I learned the hard way...It is mostly from eating there own poop... it is natural for a sulcata and it happens a lot with hatchlings, my tortoise grew out of it.
