    problems with tortoisestuff.com

I have ordered seeds from them a few times. This winter, it did take about 6 weeks. I tried to email them directly and did not here back, but occasionally received an email stating that seeds were taking a while to dry but they would come. The customer service wasn't great, they did come, the...

    San Diego Sea Turtle

Definately a strange (and sad) story. I know there have been several cases of fishermen shooting sea lions here (they follow the fishing boats and steal fish off the lines) but I can't imagine why someone would take a shot at a turtle.

I have raised and bred a few spotteds. I keep the babies in small containers with a book under one end, so it is tilted a little. The deep end water is about the same depth as their shell length, and the bottom slopes so they can walk up to the dry area. I use aquatic plants to give them hiding...

AMAZING ! ! ALBINO SEA TURTLE

In 2006, a turtle watch group found a leucistic green sea turtle hatchling on Blacks Beach in Queensland, Australia. It was brought to the Reef HQ aquarium in Townsville. I was lucky enough to see him when he was a few months old, and it was an amazing animal. Unfortunatley, the online...

AMAZING ! ! ALBINO SEA TURTLE

In 2006 I was in Australia and saw a leucistic green sea turtle hatchling at the Reef HQ Aquarium in Townsville. I believe he was only a few months old. If I remember right he hatched in the wild in a nest that was being monitored and he was brought to the aquarium. They were not planning to...

    box turtle id

She does have the long legs, long nails, and a lot of other similarities to spyder. A friend found her in the LA area but didn't want to keep her so that is how I ended up with her. She has a lot of personality, but no name yet, still looking for something that fits her.

    box turtle id

Her beak was very overgrown when she was given to me. Had her about 2 years now. I've been giving her some harder foods that seem to be helping her wear the beak down a bit, it was worse. She hasn't grown any in 2 years, very healthy eater. She also has extremely long legs, can't completely...

    ID these 2 Greeks

Anybody able to take a guess at the subspecies / location of the two Greeks pictured here? The smaller on the left is a male and the larger one is a female. Curious what their natural hibernation needs would be. Thanks
