Hi
I'm from the uk and the weather is cold most of the time :( I keep mine inside through autum, winter and spring, they go outside in summer but have a planted greenhouse as our summers are cool. They are only small atm, they have a 4x6 foot viv. When they are adults I will either convert the...
Yeah my garden is fenced, but when I couldn't find her after a week or so looking everyday, I thought she must of gotten out. The dog didn't pick up on her till the day she found her wondering by the green house which is in the open, she must of been right at the back of the hedges that I...
thanks so much for that info :D
she was out for about one month.
Does anyone know what would happen if I hadn't of found her and she was out through winter?

She's been missing for almost a month; I'm so so please :)
She seems fine and is eating well, I was really worry as some days/nights have been really cold and overcast and I thought how she would manage, being a tropical tort and...

I pretty sure males are very aggressive but it could be females too, can't remember for sure. have you got the south american tortoise book thats...
In the UK I think majority of people own med torts with tropical torts being the minority, with our climate probably being the main reason for this. So you don’t see as many reds advertised for sale. Also all hatchlings I have seen are the northern variety and a lot of sub/adults are...
george was from a breeder for £100
Horatio and Colossus were rehomed from a lady for £150 for the pair
Ike and Cordelia were also rehomed from a lady who didn't want them anymore- £250 for the pair. So averages out as £100 each, quite good really :)
Both people didn't know they...
thanks for the comments guys :) I do hope colossus or horatio change and grow into females, I'd hate to have to part with one because I have too many males, guess I'll just have to wait and see. It's only Horatio and Ike that do a lot of male behaviour, mounting clucking and head bobbing. they...
