The vet hasn't done an x-ray. And he doesn't think the spine is damaged because my tortoise is moving his legs ok. The vet just thinks that the shell is putting pressure on his spine.

I had a question on bedding too. I can get hay and aspen easily but I don't know if it's ok for him to be on either of those. He has been on rabbit pellets for these past four years.
I just chopped up some romaine lettuce for him. I am going to wait on mixing other things in with the romaine lettuce until he starts eating it regularly. At that point I think it will be safe to start mixing in other things.
