Absolutely, removed all the moss immediately near it on the way home. I’m convinced it was dyed because its face was turning bright green… came off during a fresh soak.
I keep redfoots so I definitely will make sure this little fella has appropriate humidity and diet.

As others have pointed out, it’s not the safest to let them free roam unless they have a dedicated space. I’ve read too many horror stories about tortoises eating things they shouldn’t.
