    Handle suggestions for sliding glass

I have the same exact issue! I'm going to put small cabinet handles on mine with flat head screws so they don't rub. Mine has a wooden border.

    A Nice Story

My mother in law was gifted a Desert tortoise many years back. He's about 65 years old or so now? He's very social and will come when you call him! He loves my weiner dog! When we visit, they go everywhere together! I know that's looked down upon, but you'd have to know my dog to know he's never...

Thank you. I have a flourescent UV light for her that she likes, but I was curious if anyone has tricks :). Our windows are worthless when it comes to UV rays anyway. Our house is energy conserving so there's tint on the windows. Thank you for replying :)

    New member, a few questions!

I had plants in her enclosure and am looking for more since she destroyed them, lol. I should rephrase about her walking the floors of my home. She is NEVER more than 4 feet from me as my eyes are only fixed on her. I have a cat and 2 dogs, she is NEVER left alone outside of her enclosure. I'm...

    New member, a few questions!

Hello, I've been reading for a bit but never posted! I am a fairly new tortoise mom to a beautiful Hermann's, likely female. I've learned so much, but I can never learn enough! With winter coming up quick, how do you get your tort to soak up natural UV? I have lights, etc, but I like to keep her...

Winter is coming. What do you do to make sure your tort is getting enough natural UV rays, but not freezing? It was 39f this morning at 6:30! I'm in SoCal.

I'd be happy if Jules would eat more than romaine, lol! Been working on her and she's liking dandelion greens lately, but she'll bounce right beck to ONLY romaine if I put it in there!!!

Mine will only eat romaine and refuses to eat other stuff! I had to "tough love" her a bit and now, she is eating dandelion greens, but not anything else! If I put romaine back in there, then it's "dandelion who" Oh, this girl!

Mine took a single bite out of cactus and won't touch it now! She's really just A STUBBORN BRAT. A loved stubborn brat, lol!

Misinformation that needs to be countered:

I think I see the same person in a certain group. I was shamed a bit for having the wrong substrate. I was on there for advice, as I had my baby for just 2 days. I deleted my post and haven't posted since. And by the way, my baby was checked yesterday and is a healthy (most likely) girl! I've...
