Thanks for the reply. I will try to find a long tube light for my sulcata 1 kg now. As for the brands, I can only find exo terra and repti zoo. Arcadia MVB are only available in this country, Malaysia.
For heating I think it's okay, the temperature never drops to 25 degrees and below at night...
Hello everyone. Today I changed my MVB from Exo Terra solar glo to Reptizoo Supersun just to explore.
But I am quite concern with the colour output of the MVB. Solar glo has a yellowish tinge while supersun has a lighter yellow colour. I can feel the heat on the supersun but I checked the UV...
yes, I gave him Tortoise powder by My Cutter Diet. It contains calcium and vitamin A, B, K, Additive C blended with grounded alfalfa, rye, timothy etc. but no actual amounts in terms of percentage. So I can not be sure how much his daily calcium and vitamins intakes are.
Also I can only fine the coarse type repti bark here in Malaysia, I intend to buy the fine ground repti bark.
Would the coase type repti bark suffice?
I am just concern on the poor crawling ability of my baby sulcata once he is on a uneven and loose terrain. ?
yes, i will soak him daily. as for the lights, I used an MVB and A tube. I changed to tubes when I know cfb is harmful to their eyes from other threads in this forum. Thanks by the way.
sorry to post multiple times, got errors in my previous reply

I can't say for sure, I got him from a reputable pet shop. He was in an indoor enclosure with his other siblings and has a uvb light source. They were kept in a temperature controlled room, as there were other type of tortoises in the room (in seperate enclosures)
Will do, thanks for the heads up on the pine and cedar type bark. Really appreciated it. Currently my sully is marching and pacing around as he used to. However, I am invested in changing the substrate.
Hello all,
I just started to become a new baby sulcata parent. He is about one month to 2 months old.
He is always active during 10 am till 3 pm. then he sleeps a bit till 4-5pm.
He usually roams his indoor 2.5' by 3.5' enclosure but lately he burrows into the substrate and sleeps quite a lot...
