My leopard is almost a year and a half old, and I do put him outside during the day when it's nice. But I've noticed that if I keep his outdoor enclosure in the same spot, he gets bored and stops eating the grass and the weeds, so I move the enclosure and all of the sudden he starts eating again.
It seems like everytime I add substrate and move around my leopard tortoises enclosure (his hides, food and water dishes, decorations) he goes around the enclosure for a couple hours and is very active. To me it seems like he's just exploring, but I also wonder if maybe he's stressed out?
Thank you for your response! I will definitely look into getting real plants for his enclosure. Also, I do use cypress mulch mixed with peat moss, coco coir, and I have sphagnum moss around his enclosure and in some of his hides. I do also have a shower curtain over his enclosure to keep...
EDIT: Pictures got mixed up while uploading, so they're not in order.
I posted about my leapard tortoises weight awhile ago wanting to know if he looked healthy, and if it seemed like he was on the right track in his growth. I mainly just wanted to know since I got Victor (my leapard) from...

The temps reach mid 70's during the nighttime, I'm planning on getting a ceramic heat emitter soon to help out with that. I'm so happy he seems to be doing well, I was really afraid after reading the Tortoise Town experiences on here that he was going to be one of those baby tortoises that don't...
His basking spot is 95⁰f, the rest of his enclosure is around 80⁰ to 85⁰f. Humidity is at 70-85%.
He always has food leftover, I feed him once in the morning and once in the evening, I also soak him for 25 to 30 minutes in the morning.
I received my hatchling leopard tortoise in May of 2020. I bought him from a place called Tortoise Town, and now, doing further research on this place, I've realized this probably wasn't the best place to get him from, since it seems like they start their tortoises in a dry environment. I got...
