Hi - I live in england (Exeter) and want to buy an 8x4 enclosed tortoise enclosure - ideally not super expensive. I can’t find anything online in UK who meets Tom’s standard on his sulcata care sheet - can anyone make any recommendations?
Hi Emily, here he is ?. As you can see his own enclosure is very ramshackle and will prob not last till Xmas, I’m looking for a free book case I can use till I get outdoors sorted. Tell me how you get on with the Kane?

I can certainly try to enclose it all, so you think it's important that the entire thing is humid, it's not enough for her to simply be able to go into the humid area? That's really helpful - thanks!
Hi everyone, I would really like some help -My marginated tort outgrew her initial home so i have made an extension for her - which measures 108cm (42") by 150cm (58"). She is indoors.
I've read through Tom's notes on the BEST way to raise a tortoise (thanks so much Tom!) but i'm struggling...
That is SO cheap - thanks for the tip-off I am going to order 6 bricks now :) The closest I found at B&Q was Verve Bark Mulch which includes Coir but also has composted bark and green compost so i'm not sure what involves, but anyway, I will get the bricks... if anyone ever finds orchid bark on...
Thanks for the heads up on the coco coir. My enclosure is about 3ft by 5ft so i'm going to need a lot of it i think, I will try amazon but i am (generally) trying to avoid them as much as possible. My trip to B&Q yesterday wasn't great as they only had the kind of bark which you put on...
Help! I have recently moved house and unexpectedly become the owner of a marginated tortoise which weighs in at 1640g and is about 2.5 years old.
At the moment, he / she?? is in my garage with a heat / light lamp and has been like this for a few days (pic attached) but i need to get my act...
