Sounds good, as luck has it, I have a dehumidifier so I have a humidity of 40-45% in the non heated area and the heated area has 30-35%. I am trying to lower the 40-45% but as long as it is below 50% hopefully the little guy will be ok. I will email lllreptile about the subspecies! Thanks

I was at first, but then I read that tortoises like a drop in night time temp I have it on from 8am to 8pm. The air temp does not drop below 74. But, I could keep it on 24/7 if that is better.

Cool! Yeah, my little one just found the desert snow, which I have moved into his enclosed hide, he seems to like the feel for burrowing and it keeps that area cool and dry. I will probably get the aspen for the main area. Thanks!

I have a question about aspen, would a baby greek prefer shredded or chipped aspen? I have alfalfa pellets and, like Granolagal, have been swayed by the forum goers to get ride of it and replace it with aspen.

Thanks! I was a little worried hah. Right now the little guy is completely his little half log and burrowing himself in the bedding, its a pretty funny process to watch, looks almost like those old cartoons where you just see the ground bounce up as a gopher travels underneath.

I see, cool stuff. I know there are a lot of people who do not like to use alfalfa hay but from what I have read it seems fine. Even if they eat it, it is very low in protein. In fact from what I have read, it is a hay that could be part of their diet, but it is lacking in nutritional values...

Oh yeah, It does have a little clip on, but If I am going to get a 100w MVB I will need to move it higher above the enclosure. Right now with a 60w clipped it gets to 93-96F. That why I was looking at the little light stand hanger thingies... look kind of like bird cage stands.

Thats what I thought but when I asked the store person (petco... not LLLReptile) they said it is really hard to clean... I didnt really believe them. I will probably get some of that to make a little green area hah.
