found three more. yolk sacs absorbed but they seem slightly younger than the indoor clutch. there’s three mature female cherryheads in enclosure so I must’ve missed digging/laying! what a great surprise though
This looks like his beak was not honed much over the years (not harmful, just giving him a kind of “overbite” look) then was broken/chipped by biting down on something hard.
I brought 3 redfoot eggs in for incubation back in early April; all three hatched the second week of August.
Today I went into the outdoor enclosure and this little one was just sitting there! I must have missed an egg.
