i wasnt questioning the fact u feed fresh uncooked meat its that there is so much different advice given on feeding and raising tortoises,sometimes u dont know if ur coming or going i have 3 different types of torts and redfoots im only just learning about some say dont feed meat some say u have...
im a bit confused at the moment im new to keeping redfoots and have been told to feed only cooked chicken,due to bacteria,so am i right in thinking small amounts of uncooked meat is ok ,great photos by the way and im sorry to question this but i want to get things right with my torts.:)
i purchased 2 14 month old iberas in may this year but im a bit concerned about there weight gain,bambam was just under 6cm and weighed 49g she now weighs 6cm and 54g pebbles weighed just under 6 cm and weighed 45g now shes the heavier of the two she is 6cm and weighs 65g there only feed a weed...
i also feed petunias, plantine, hostas, sow thistle,vetch,white musk mallow,shepards purse lavateria garlic mustard guess the list is endless i do give butternut squash or pumpkin as its a naturl wormer but only as a treat now and again as if given to much can produce runny poos
