    Bugs?? Cabbage Aphids??

Just a quick update (although a little late lol) I did spray the kale with some soapy water in a hope that it would either kill off all remaining Aphids or at least deter them. I checked up on it a couple days ago and I don’t think the plants gonna make it :/ unsurprisingly not all the Aphids...

    Bugs?? Cabbage Aphids??

We’re growing kale and I noticed earlier today that we had an infestation of Cabbage Aphids. I believe we had an infestation a while ago too with a different batch of kale but I just thought they were kale seeds (bc that makes sense) and washed them off (they were green at that time). I’ve cut...

    Russian Diet??

I live in the more northern pacific northwest, so unless I do inside growing those plants wont make it all year. the main big stores I have around is Safeway, Walmart, and I believe a whole foods somewhere. I do live in a bit of a hippie area, so I know of at least 2 'all natural' stores (one of...

Bath time every day and pooping...

My vet told me that soaking is vital to a tort, for bathroom purposes and for drinking water. If they don’t soak enough, they don’t get enough water, which leads to a multitude of problems (which is also why you need to offer CLEAN water everyday, they shouldn’t drink their waste)

I do use this one thing called ‘natural grassland tortoise food’ which are like dry pellets that you add water to. I like the idea of growing food but the amount he eats compared to how much is actually in the plant tend to conflict (we used to grow kale but we had to start buying leaves bc we...

Tortoise wont stop trying to poop?

ok i have about 3 separate questions relating to the root of this issue, but i felt like this needs it's own question. long story short, my russian had to get bladder stones removed (non surgically) and to say the least he's sore. the vet warned that he might keep trying to push but, as theres...

    Russian Diet??

Ive had my russian for a little over three years, Ive been under the impression that most types of leafy greens are the way to go but recently he's had some problems that are probably linked to too much calcium/his diet. The vet suggested i move to a spring mix but other sources say to avoid...

    Bladder stones HELP??

we took him to the vet bc he wasn't passing more even with the warm water, it was definitely a badder stone (basically the same thing as urate stone). The vet said it might be because of his diet and hydration like you said. He's fine now (although the vets were shocked at the size of the stone...

    Bladder stones HELP??

So i noticed this morning that Squirtle's tail was sticking outward (which he typically keeps tucked) and it looked irritated as the bottom looked red and swollen. I couldn't really do anything bc I was heading to school but when I got back I noted he was in the same spot. I put him in some warm...
