Dont know how safe it would be to put directly in the incloser but coffee grounds and quick oats works wonders on killing ants. Also putting a baby powder boarder around the incloser will stop ants dead in there tracks, they wont cross it for some reason. these methods wont hurt your grass at all.

RE: Close encounter with a snake I agree with you totally on this. In a fear situation you are forced to make quick decisions and sometimes they are not the best. But as humans we are all build with the fight or flight responce to danger. And being a parent you also have the built in responce...

About a month ago i bought an all in one, artificial sun light bulb for my tort. And now sometimes the bulb flashes on and off. The bulb said it should last atleast a year. Do you guys think its the bulb or the ballast? I dont want to go buy anything i dont need. :-) Thanks for the help![hr]...

I just tried the hose thing with no luck. He have been on our hands and knees going through every bush. We live on a corner lot so have a huge back yard. The weather channel says this week it should only be in the high 90°'s. Do you think he will be ok today? Any other thoughts on how to find...

We looked for hours yesterday and for hours this morning. Still no tort. He weighs about a pound. Do you think anything could have taken him? I live in the city.
