Well after everything I tried when I posted this I left him alone for a bit. I got as much as I could. I checked him last night an he worked it out himself!! Yay!! Thank goodness!! Thanks everyone for the advice!!!
So my tortoise got a chunk of coconut bark stuck up in his shell. It's wedged up in his back leg. I can not get it out. I've tried tweezers, soaking it ect. Any suggestions?!
IF I have to leave my turtle from tomorrow morning to the following afternoon will he be ok? How much food do I leave and do I leave the light on or off? It is a heat an uv in one. 100w. Will he be ok or is that absolutely not an option??
It's a 2 year old spur thigh. Only one and the enclosure is 3ft by 2ft. I feed him a heaping portion about the size of him twice a day. The reason I ask is it has only been in there for less than 2 weeks and it seems to e putting off a smell as of today. Anytime I look to spot clean I can't did...
I use coconut fiber and coconut bark in my enclosure and I don't know how often I need to change it out or how to keep it clean for him. It's so hard to see anything in there to spot clean because he moves it all around so much ... Help?
I had major issues with choosing the right substrate also. I mixed coconut bark and coconut fiber and it has been perfect!! As far as I know the bricks of coconut coir is the same thing as a bag of coconut fiber so I would try that!
Good luck to you :)
Ok.. So I hope this picture will post. Keep in mind I have little space since I am in an apartment. His enclosure is 3 feet by 2 feet. I mixed coconut fiber with some coconut bark for his substrate. Any other suggestions for his home are welcome :)

Ok. New mommy again... I need to know!! So a lot of the time when I take Crush outside to roam around or take him out of his enclosure to soak him he makes these squealing noise and sucks his head back a bit and his eyes bulge way out as if his skin behind his eyes are coming out and covering...
