I would say the heat lamp is a little less than 1 foot and a half above them. We got the lowest wattage they had which was 50w. I always put my hand underneath just kind of to see how warm it is and it's always been a comfortable temp to me. I just didn't want to move it too far away and then...
We soak all three of them daily. Their hide is normally 80% humidity or higher. They stay under their heating lamp almost all day when they're not in their hide and I've read that that can dry them out.. do you think that could be the problem or is it something else?
Is this scute developing shell rot? Is it just a scratch? Also, is it normal for her neck to be that color and peely? When we first got her she had a small patch that was colored lighter than her skin and ever since she's been growing more has come off and changed color.
My boyfriend and I have three seven month old Sulcatas and we RARELY ever see them drink out of their water dish.. Is this normal? We feed them grass and some weeds misted with water and soak them daily but we are not sure if that is enough water intake for them.
My boyfriend and I just bought that a couple days ago! We are building them a new enclosure, should the entire area be filled with the eco earth? We have some slate to put in their too.
Okay, I will put some neosporin on it. It is broke/bent RIGHT by the quick so that's why I wasn't sure if I should just let it fall off on its own or do something else. Thank you so much!
I'm not sure what to do about his nail.. He still walks on the foot and it doesn't seem to be hurting him but now the bottom of it looks like it's starting to bleed.
I will try that. Right now they eat collards, dandelion greens, romaine once a day, and the grasses and weeds in our backyard. So I wasn't sure what hays and when to introduce them
