Thanks!! Yes, we've been hit with low temps these last few days, so definitely surprised it survived that cold front.. recently found it earlier today so just want to make sure we can provide some care for it while we find a permanent home. Thank you so much for your help though, greatly...

Hi cmac3 I live in Dallas, Texas..just went through a bunch of pictures online to see what breed it could possibly be.

We found this turtle our backyard near the pool area. I did some research and I believe it may be an Eastern Box Turtle, more specifically a terrapene carolina. Here are two pics attached. We want to be able to care for it correctly so can someone please confirm or help identify the breed...
