I looked up snow fleas, and thats what it looks like it could be. Is there a way to prevent them from taking over the cage. I am probably just going to change out the bedding and clean the cage tomorrow. I am not sure how they got in there.
I just noticed tiny tiny little bugs in my Greek Tortoises cage, I don't think they're mites because they're an off white color. I have no clue what they could be. If anybody has experienced I would greatly appreciate some advice.
Thanks!
Simple question. What should the humidity be for a greek tort around 6months old? I have read on many care sheets that they need a fairly dry environment and now that she is slightly starting to pyramid I am a little worried that I haven't been keeping her humidity high enough :( Please Help!
Where do you get flowers? I know a kinda funny question, but I would assume the flowers you would buy at any store like Home Depot, Lowes, etc... are sprayed with chemicals. So where do you buy flowers to feed to your torts?
So I was just wondering if this is the start of my little tortoise pyramiding? This is my first tort so I am not sure what exactly it looks like, but I know her scutes are raising up a little bit. I dust her food with calcium powder every other day, so just not sure. This may be normal and I am...
Here in a couple weeks I am going out of town for the weekend and I was wondering what food is best to leave with a golden greek for a couple days? I have heard petunia is good to leave in the cage and also the base of Bok Choy or similar greens. Any recommendations?
Yea. I thought I would like the mixture but, it has been driving me nuts lately when it gets stuck to her feet. And it stresses me out when she pulls her greens out of her bowl into it and it gets all over it. So I think I am going to make the switch. What brands do you recommend?
I have a baby golden greek right now, housed on a play sand and eco-earth mix substrate. I am thinking about switching over to cypress mulch, does any body else recommend doing this? Or should I just keep her on what I have now?
Yea. I have mine on a timer to turn on at 9am, because my work schedule is 11-7pm. So I have her light come on when I get up, so I can feed her. And I have her light go off at 10pm, she is usually sleeping before I get home from work. But I know on the days I am not at work, she is up all day...
This morning my golden greek tort woke me up around 8am(before her lights were on) trying to eat the old food that was in there yesterday, so I took it out and put some new fresh greens in there for her when her lights came on at 9am. Has this ever happend to anybody else? Is this common for...
So I just got a leopard gecko at my local reptile expo this weekend, and have been trying to get her temps right. Right now I have a undertank heater on one side with the floor temps being around 83-84 degrees and the cool side around the mid 70s. Is that ok? Because I did have a 50watt red...
