    Whew thanks! I read somewhere else that it could be blood poisoning and I'm not sure. The shell looks a bit red too. Do you think it is okay? He is very angry (or I'd say, fighting back vigorously) when I touch him.

    His skin there was pretty red. Like, it used to be much less red but then today it turned like this. There are no notable changes in what he eats or does. Looks pretty active as usual. Should I be concerned?

    thanks for your reply! there are two tortoises. red eared sliders. the leaf appeared to be nibbled and torn but not eaten largely. they are quite active now although one appears to be sleepy.

    I plant tomato and a leaf fell into my tank. My tortoise nibbled on it before I found out. I heard that tomato leaf contain toxic materials. Is that true and what should I do to help my tortoises?

    So I have kept my sliders for years and now they are adults. They are of 20cm (7.875 inches) long and 13cm (5.12 inches) width, and another 18cm (7.09 inches) and 12cm (4.725 inches)... they have lived together for years and one of them is male and another is female (the larger one, of course)...
