I have two dogs, a large family and had just added Flo (an African Tortoise), our new family member. A lot of research has been made and although some make different suggestions on how to raise these creatures, I hope in my care, Flo will grow to be healthy and happy. This is the first time I am raising a tortoise and so far, its been great. Flo is given some freedom to roam outside the sunny garden and its already building an appetite! It devours weeds, grass, dandelions, and occasionally kale. I'm growing some leafy greens, which are high in calcium, in the garden and some flowers. At the moment, Flo stays in my bedroom most of the time, which works out well because its so small still and sleeps while i'm at work or in school.
