He lives in the garden but it's possible he went and lay under the generator when the power was out a couple of days ago.
Any advice on what to do or to determine if that was what happened? (Apart from obviously fencing off the generator which I'll do this pm!

I have a male Leopard Tortoise (approx 22kg or so). Very suddenly his shell has started cracking and one of the panels has completely come off. He has not been attacked by anything.
