Lol you're one of the few people who have correctly assumed where the name came from, I can't tell you how many people assume it is after the playwright Chekhov (bc they are clearly giving me way too much credit in terms of being a grown-up). But it is totally Trek-inspired. LLAP!

I have a Russian tortoise and I do love him, he's got an awful lot of personality for a little dinosaur. :) Things you might not know: they can move pretty quickly, actually, and they like to climb, so keep an eye on them if you let them roam free at all. Have fun! :tort:
