hi guys i cant believe it, i only just cleaned out my incubator yesterday after the last hermann tortoises hatched and when i went down to my tortoise shed to feed them today i noticed the nesting site had been disturbed i checked it out and found another 4 eggs, this is her first set of 4 eggs...

when each baby is born i take a picture of the top and bottom of their shells, thats how i recognize them i keep a profile of all of them with D.O.B, names, weight and size.

No there not from the same clutch, if you look at the picture titled Tortoise family 1 (the first adult tortoise on the left is the mother of the 2 bigger babies and 3 of the smaller babies)-(the first adult tortoise on the right is the mother of the other 3 babies) the farther of all the babies...

its natural for the female to try an get away, r you 100% sure you have a male because females will also mount other females. (females have little stubby tales, males have long thick tales)... :)[hr] its medium wood chip from my local pet store. :) I've tried all different substrates and...

NO i have never hibernated my hermanns and all my eggs have been fertile infact another one of my eggs hatched last night :) have you seen your hermanns mate?

Gutted i'll probably have to sell him then coz the males will end up fighting when they want to mate with my females. :( quess i'll have to try and find another female somewhere els...

Hi everyone i got my new tortoise today :D i havent got her certificate yet the owner is going to send it to 2 me soon so im not 100% sure what sub species it is, if anyone can tell please let me know. THANKS im also looking for potential names if anyone can think of any.
