CRAZY looking 3TBT!

So I was surfing the web, looking at box turtles (which I do a lot), and I found a CRAZY looking Three-Toed.

The site it's on called it an "extreme red". It looks like some sort of albinism maybe? Like how a caramel albino ball python is it's own base mutation and is darker and different from a normal albino? Has anyone ever seen something like this? Either way, I thought it was super cool, and so I thought I'd share.

I assume it's a he -- eyes could just be red from lack of pigment. But yeah, I can see what you mean about the teeth!

Believe it or not that's a fairly common pattern. That one happens to have a more beautiful version of it because it looks to be a male in the peek of its life. 3toed variability is pretty mind blowing once you've seen the whole spectrum. I'll have to dig through my 3toed library for some similar pictures.This picture is a male my brother has that has the white neck/chin thing going on. The angle doesn't show the mouth.

I'd give a finger or toe to have that red one. I LOVE the white on the face in yours, Byron. I'd love to have one with those white patterns. As a child I'd find some around and play with them when visiting Louisiana and they were always my favorite facial marking.

More than the turtles are worth? Well....that's all relative to the person buying, I suppose.

But yeah, I do cringe at the shipping costs -- especially when the shipping is more than the animal itself.
