He's about a year old eats well has a good mix of fresh food and tortoise pellets and so small amount of protein (shrimp or chicken) once a week.

Over the last fed weeks I've noticed these white marks, his brother doesn't have any

Any idea's?

It appears to be "marbeling" in his new growth which is a desired trait with redfoots. I doubt it's shell rot. He appears to be one smooth healthy looking tortoise. Now I'm no redfoot expert so hopefully a few RF experts chime in.

Yep it's the start of marbling. Some torts marble some don't... it's much more common in cherries than any other red foot.

This is Franklin about a year ago.
