I'm shipping a tortoise and I have a quick question. I bought a box from the ups store and I'm using shipyourreptiles to ship. Can the box have any logos on it because this box has "the ups store" on it.

That's not a problem.

Are you cutting your own insulation?

Yes that's fine.. But don't forget, you have to write all over the box anyway!
CAUTION: LIVE HARMLESS REPTILE or WILDLIFE- THIS SIDE UP and I also added KEEP OUT OF SUN and drew the sun..lol

Ship your reptile tells you what exactly to write on the box..and to punch holes too

Yes. Cutting my own insulation. I have holes punched in the box and the container she is will be in.

I don't have leaf litter for the container, what else can I use? I used orchard bark when I handed my boxie off but I didn't ship him. I am currently out of orchid bark. :0/

It's an adult Russian if that helps.

I'd use chopped hay... It's similar to leaf litter.

Don't forget to put a paper towel in there too. That helps absorb urine, just in case ;) not everyone does the paper towel on the bottom but I liked it.

That's what I've done. Paper towels then chopped hay. Off to go print labels. :D

This box has ridiculous dimensions. 12.25 x 12.25 x 8.25
I assume I have to round up for the quote?

I'm excited for you!

Greg had advised me tho round up on the close calls... Better to pay too much than not enough and cause issues

Check the instructions. They should tell you how to measure the package.

I think FEDEX does a better job than UPS, would not ship any tortoises except for Delta Dash or FEDEX

I was waiting for the arrival update! Glad to hear it all worked well :)
I had planned to send you an immediate update but my youngest has had a tummy ache all day and I've been hemming a dress for my violinist for her UIL concert.
