What is this bump?

My 13 year old Sulcata has this growth bump on his mouth. We go to the vet Wednesday, but wonder if you have seen this before. His behavior is normal and it doesn't seem sensitive.
Any advice?

looks like it could be where a thorn or foreign items got under his skin and it has encapsulated it. doesn't look bad - symmetrical and all. be interesting to see what the vet says?
