Update: Carolina Pet Supply sent me another bag of seeds. I am so afraid of another "worm incident" that I don't plan to use them. Told her NOT to reorder anything. Waited and checked my monthly statement. She/they did not charge me for the seed.
After all that happen d with my order and reading about everyone else I've come to the conclusion that they probably aren't thieves, they just have really really awful customer service and even worse shipping policy, I won't ever use them again because I think waiting over 4 or 5 weeks for something you've already paid for is unacceptable, but I would probably not call them thieves, so my review of them is different now but I still wouldn't use them.
I am also experiencing slow shipping from CPS -- placed an order 2.5 weeks ago, it was marked shipped earlier this week (after an email inquiring about its status) but the tracking number doesn't work. While I don't expect instantaneous service over the holidays, there was no warning about being closed/shipping delays. and having my money for 2 weeks before mailing definitely rubs me the wrong way. But from the many accounts of slow service here, this doesn't seem limited to the holidays...
I deliberately ordered the seeds weeks in advance so I would have time to sprout them for my enclosure, but that's not happening due to this delay. Guess I will be making a big seed buy at the store today.
I should update to say that although the tracking number didn't work, my item was shipped at that time and arrived by the end of that week. They wouldn't be my first choice for another order because of the delay in shipping, but the prices and shipping were reasonable.
