I've noticed lately that my female turtle is getting fatter and that her shell is starting to look different. The other turtle in there with her looks the same. Should I start feeding them separately? I feed them everyday, should I start feeding them every other day?

Since you feed them together, are they getting equal portions or is she stealing all the food? my res does that too so now I feed them separately.

But if not, they grow at different speeds too, so if she can still fit into her shell she's not fat. Haha

And if you say her shell is starting to look funny, could you post some pictures to show us how it looks like? Thanks!

Pics would be AMAZING! :D
Do you know if there are both eating equal portions? The bigger one might be (probably) is stealing all the food.
Do they live together?

This morning I watched them while they ate and the female ate more than my male did, they are both the same size and they are in the same tank. The female is also shedding her scutes so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I watched them eat this morning and the female are a little more than the male, and I cleaned the tank this morning and I think the reason her shell looks different is because she's shedding her scutes. I'm gonna start feeding them separately and see if that fixes anything. She can still fit in her shell.

Alright, I will first say outright I do not have much experience with growing baby turtles, but IMHO, her growth lines do look a little big, which 'can' be a sign of over feeding.
Shedding is great :D
I think you should star feeding them separately, and try and cut a back a bit on your girls intake.
Hopefully another person will be able to give you more advice on her poof pockets :D
