I have 2 Tortoises.1 male & 1 female.
Female has laid 1 egg yesterday.
We brought them from the forest a few years back.
I don’t exactly know their breed.
I want to know how to incubate the egg so as to we can keep it safe.
Shall I put it in the mud and give it periodic sunlight?
Plz suggest

We have to know more than you are telling us
Picture of tortoises so we can ID it.
Pairs should never be kept together and you should never have taken them from the wild!

Yes, we need more information on the species of the tortoise before giving any advice. On top of the pictures, can you tell us approximately which area you got your tortoise from? I also agree with wellington, no tortoise should live in pairs.

Here is the info on how to incubate the egg:

Do NOT put it in mud, and do NOT expose it to sunlight. Both of those will kill the embryo.
