Hi I have just built my new tortoise outdoor enclosure but it is raining. I live in England so it rains a lot. He has got a little shelter that he can sit under but he isn't bright enough to sit under it to keep him self dry. Should he only be put outside in the dry weather or is it alright to be outside on rainy days :)

It is important that it is kept under control. You need to find a new vet if yours no longer does it and you don't want to do it yourself.

Do you have cuttlebone in the enclosure? Gnawing on that helps. What do you feed. Tearing at food not cut up small should help to keep it check too. Nice tough stuff like big dandelion leaves and grazing on clover outdoors.
