tortoise climbing walls

Hi,
One of my 7 month old hermanns tortoises keeps trying to climb the walls of his enclosure. Could he be bored? I've tried regularly rearranging the rocks in his enclosure and moving the hides around to try and give him some variety.

He has a mercury vapour lamp on for 14 hours and off for 10.

Is this normal behavior? His sister is much calmer and eats, basks and sleeps normally. I've had them for about 3 week's.

Any suggestions?

It's two sharing an enclosure about a meter long and 60 cm wide.

They're from the same batch so have always been together.

They eat, sleep and bask next to each other.

Whoa. Deja vu...

Is this a case of keep asking until you get the answer you want?

Not at all. It's a case of putting it in 2 threads so it is seen by more people and I can get a wider variety of opinions. Is that ok?

Generally, asking the same question in multiple threads is frowned upon, but I will leave that for the mod team to deal with.

Good luck in your search for more answers.
