Tortoise Behaviors

Hello!

I just recently got a 3 month old Dalmatian Hermanns Tortoise and want to better understand her behaviors. Can anyone either direct me or speak from experience on what a tortoises different body language means? I understand that each tortoise is different but I'm hoping through this I can better understand my own tortoise.

Well Emma, I can only tell you three"feelings" mine has(not sure if dalmatian or eastern hermanns).

Scared- tucked into the shell, hissing, peeing and pooping(not always)

Hungry- sitting by the food dish and looking at me

Happy- raised head, relaxed on the ground basking with all four legs out, sleeping on top of the leftover food.

That's really all I can tell you.
