ticks

Just wondering if ticks are a problem when keeping sulcatas outside? Since the weather has been nice here I been keep Spike outside during the day since May.

In the wild ticks are an issue. Way back in the day a wild caught import would occasionally come in with a tick. Importation was banned back in the late 90's. Since that time ticks for tortoises have been pretty much non-existant. Dog, deer and other mammal ticks don't seem too interested in our reptiles.
